Downloading System Updates

Question: How do I download files from the web site?

Purpose: To download SUMMIT SOFTWARE documents, program fixes and enhancements.

1. Left click on the file you would like to download.
2. Select "save this file to disk" (see figure 1)



 

3. Save to a temp directory (see figure 2)

4. Once the file is downloaded. Open windows explorer; find the file in the temp directory, copy the file and then paste in the appropriate sub-directory in SMT.

 

Option 2

User:

1. Right click on the file you would like to download.
2. Select " Save Target As"

3. Save to a temp directory (see figure 3)

 

4. Once the file is downloaded. Open windows explorer; find the file in the temp directory, copy the file and then paste in the appropriate sub-directory in SMT.

 

5. If you are downloading many files and need to "zip" them, please refer to http://www.winzip.com/aboutzip.htm on how to zip and extract files.
