(Please print this page and check off the steps as you complete them)

  Backup your 3.2 data.

Uninstall 3.2 on the server and on each client.

Remove the 3.2 database in the Pervasive PCC. Make sure 'remove system files' is checked.

Rename your current data directory to OldData.

Install 3.3 server, specifying the database location as \Smt\Db. DO NOT specify your current data directory.

Install the 3.3 client on all workstations.

Copy your existing data (*.dta files only) from OldData to the Smt\Db directory, overwriting the empty data files created by the installer.

Logon to the Update module from Start/Summit Software/Update. Download any available updates.  Close the module. Repeat for each Client workstation.

Logon to the Utility module from Start/Summit Software/Utility.  Click on Convert Tables, and convert the tables that have active buttons. Close the module.

Logon to the Summit For Windows main module from Start/Summit Software/Summit For Windows. Select Define Users under the Utility Menu. Enter your 3.3 users. Assign supervisor access rights to each user that should have those rights.  Close the module.
