Field Descriptions

Package Name: If you want a package description to print on the invoice and the confirmation instead of a rate, enter that description here.  Spots on this page will be billed at a zero rate. Remember to add at least one miscellaneous billing page on this contract if you want to bill other than a zero amount. Internal reports will use the internal rate if one is defined.

Avail Type Match: This is an optional field that allows you to match spots to specific commercial breaks.  There are three different ways to use avail matches:

bulletExact Match: select an avail match with a code greater than 9.
bulletRange Match: select an avail match with a code 1 thru 9
bulletSpecial Case: select an avail match with a code of zero.

Refer to the below chart:

Source: Optional. e.g.  Live. Beta. Net.

Skip Weeks: Optional. Enter 2 for every other week, 3 for every third week, etc.

Other Separation: This field is an optional additional spot separator.  You can use this field to separate spots by an additional industry separator or product separator ( entered in Industry Data Entry).  The system will not schedule these spots closer than the specified separation time to the same industry or product.

Sales Type: select if different from that on the header page.

Cash Discount Rate: enter if applicable. Will be applied to the invoice.

Sales Tax Rate: enter if applicable.. Will be applied to the invoice.

Internal Rate: enter if you want a different rate from the spot rate to show on internal reports. e.g. Earned Revenue Projection is an internal report; Invoices and Confirmations are external reports.. Leave zero to use the spot rate on both. Also used for scheduling if package billing. See scheduling rules.

Makegood For: system use only. Used to track makegoods when invoices must show debits and credits.

Auto Reschedule: enter if different from header page.

Break Position: select first, last, random, etc. position in the break for this spot. You will also want to specify an additional separator to prevent two "firsts" from being in the same break.

Preemptable: check if these spots are preemptable. If not checked, these spots cannot be preempted by others, no matter their priority. One scheduled, they will not move unless you do it manually.

Use as Filler: check if these spots are available to be used as autofill spots in insertion logs. The length must be 30 seconds.

Print on Log: check if yes

Combine Rate for All Channels: allocate the rate per spot to all specified channels instead of applying to each.

Rotate Among Channels: the quantity to run is rotated over all specified channels instead of applying to each.

Same Time All Channels: if you are scheduling combo spots that are to run in the same break on all specified stations/channels, check this box.

Note:

Mark this page as not preemptable if you don't want the system to try to preempt combo spots.

Otherwise, if two combo spots have the same priority, the scheduler will preempt one with the other if it has a higher total dollar value.

It will also preempt combo spots with a single station spot of the same priority if the rate on that spot is higher (or higher enough, see rate pct increase in scheduling rules) than the corresponding rate for that channel on the combo. The assumption is that the time on the other stations can be resold at the same or higher rate as the original and thus higher revenues will result. Be sure to set the time threshold in scheduling rules to give enough lead time to resell the preempted time.

If this page is a multi-station buy, you may want to use the combine rate for all channels option or the multiple channel rate option.

Discard Unscheduled Spots: check if you don't want unscheduled spots to go to makegoods
