If a (non-filler) spot cannot be scheduled according to it's criteria, it will become a makegood. You can use this module to automatically reschedule a set of makegoods instead of doing each one by hand. Canceled or "dead" makegoods are ignored by this function. Reminder: when a makegood is rescheduled, no additional revenue is added to the order. Note: For best system security, it is recommended that this module be installed only on a supervisor’s workstation.
1. Set the channels for which makegoods are to be rescheduled by selecting the appropriate radio button in the Select Channels panel. (see Restrictions: All/Include/Exclude) 2. Specify the from and thru dates of the makegoods that are to be rescheduled in the M/G for Dates panel. (see Selecting Dates) 3. Specify the from and thru dates, on the Onto Dates panel, reflecting on what dates to place the makegoods. 4. Specify the priority (or priorities) for the makegood(s) to be rescheduled in the Select Priorities panel. You may want to restrict priorities when you know low priority spots have no room to schedule, for example. 5. Specify the Schedule Type by selecting one of the radio buttons in the Select Type panel a. Full Schedule – Selecting this option will instruct the system to reschedule makegoods, bumping and moving lower priority spots as specified in Traffic>Schedules>Scheduling Rules. b. Quick Schedule – Selecting this option will instruct the system to reschedule makegoods only where there is room. 6. After making sure your selections are correct, press the Start button, which is on the Tool Bar. After pressing the Start button, the cursor will have a blinking hourglass next to it. When the hourglass is no longer present, the rescheduling of makegoods is complete. |
