You define various groups of channels here: system groups, network groups, and user groups. Programs and spot schedules can be assigned to groups to simplify data entry for many different channels.

Group Numbering Convention

Summit has adopted a convention for numbering groups. This is  to maintain consistency, provide for certain reporting capabilities, and to provide a common ground for external data imports.

Group Usage

1-9999: not used; reserved for individual channels

10001-10999: System Groups

11001-11999: Network Groups

12001 and above: User Groups

Field Descriptions

Code:  Enter a short descriptive code for this group. Codes are displayed and printed when the description would be too long.

Description:  Enter a description for this group. This description prints on many different reports.

Valid from: (if applicable) or check N/A if not date restricted.

Valid thru: (if applicable) or check TFN if not date restricted.

Number of subs :  Enter the number of subscribers or other demographic data for this group. This is used in some analysis reports.

Components: Select the channels or other groups assigned to this group.
